Hopsital. Images from a photography residency at Hackney’s hospitals during 1988. The newly opened Homerton Hospital had replaced the run down German and Hackney hospitals. Many of the photographs study routine patient treatment procedures and the hospital interiors. Due to Patient Confidentiality laws, many of the pictures could not be shown in public. The collection of 200 pictures is held at St Bartholomews and the Museum of London. Commissioned by the Public Arts Development Trust in association with Greater London Arts.
